We do not check the roofers. We do not inspect, approve or vouch for any firm. The word for that is one we deliberately do not use about ourselves, because it would not be true. Check public liability insurance, get a written itemised quote, and look the firm up on Trading Standards' Buy With Confidence register before agreeing anything.

The guides are general information. Every figure in our cost guides comes from published UK sources and is dated. Your roof will be quoted on its own merits and the number will differ. Nothing here is a quote.

Nothing here is legal, financial or insurance advice. Where we describe consumer rights, insurance claims or liability, we are describing the general position. For your situation, ask Citizens Advice, your insurer or a solicitor.

Planning and conservation. Where we mention conservation areas or listed buildings, we are flagging that consent may be needed. We do not state what the rules require for any particular property. Ask Exeter City Council or the relevant district council before ordering work.

Emergencies. We prioritise urgent enquiries and pass them to firms that take emergency work, but we do not promise attendance times and we do not run a night line. Outside working hours you will hear back the next working day.
